Learn new ways to teach and familiarize yourself with the AP Music Theory test at the Advanced Placement Summer Institute in St Albans, West Viriginia from June 21 to  25, 2010. Search for the Institute and register with the College Board.

New music for you to play!

  • “Italian Lullaby” in Level Two. This is a lullaby I learned from my mother, who grew up in Torino, Italy. I also included this song in Mama Lisa’s wonderful site of international children’s songs. The page Mama Lisa devoted to this song has me singing, and even a related video.
  • “Etude in D Minor” by Gurlitt in Keyboard Classics. Learn to play this piece–in a serious minor key, and with a stirring melody in the left hand. Cornelius Gurlitt’s picture is below:
