Fais Dodo

“Fais Dodo” is an old French lullaby — “dodo” is baby-talk for sleep, so the title basically means “go to sleep.” French settlers carried the song to Louisiana, where it took on a whole new meaning among Cajun families: a “fais dodo” became the name for a lively evening dance party, since the kids would be put to bed nearby while the grown-ups danced.
