Jolly Old Saint Nicholas

This one is written like a kid actually talking to Santa, whispering their wishes and hoping he's been keeping track of good behavior. The words were published in 1865 by an American poet, and the tune we know today was added about ten years later. It's been a Christmas songbook staple ever since.
