“Away in a Manger” is one of the most beloved Christmas carols in the English-speaking world. For many years it was thought to be the work of Martin Luther, but it turns out it was written in America in the 1880s. There are two different melodies commonly used for this carol — this version uses the simpler, brighter one, which is perhaps the more familiar of the two.
