Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring

Bach composed this as part of a church cantata, but the chorale has become one of his most beloved and widely played works, heard at weddings and celebrations around the world. The gently rolling triplet accompaniment gives it a feeling of continuous, serene motion — peaceful and joyful at the same time. Many musicians consider it one of the most beautiful melodies ever written.
