London Bridge

“London Bridge is Falling Down” is one of the oldest nursery rhymes in the English language, with roots going back hundreds of years. The song almost certainly refers to the many times the real London Bridge was damaged or destroyed — by floods, fires, and even Viking raids. Nobody agrees on exactly what all the verses mean, which only adds to its charm.
